Can I trust the Bible?
A common question, which definitely is important to cover. If the Bible is not reliable and cannot be trusted then there is a serious problem because the Bible is the foundation of the Christian religion. This is no doubt an apologetical topic.

The Bible was written by more than forty *men, from kings to fishermen to prisoners, rich to poor, strong and weak, etc. The Bible was written by a huge diversity of classes and social status' as well as education levels. This isn't a book set forth from a group of people to discriminate, all have a fair voice in the history. Instead of me spending that much time giving more examples of the Bible's unique facts, I recommend checking out CARM's section on this at http://www.carm.org/bible.htm.

I once spent a good hour or more talking with a guy about a "contradiction" that he found on a web site in the book of Genesis about God creating plants before light and therefore the Bible is wrong. We went back and forth until we both realized how stupid it was and that logically the plants wouldn't have bothered with out light because the next day, light came. We agreed that all the plants would remain even if there wasn't light for 24 hours and then even if they did die, their seeds would be there and they would grow new plants when the light came the following day. It was a complete waste of time but I still offer to try to help to explain any so called "contradiction" in the Bible if you think you've found one. You can email me and I'll get back to you about it.

*God wrote the Bible. This is a common misconception, many people will say "How can God write the Bible." or "The Bible was only written by men, it's not reliable." Well, God did write the Bible. Think about it, when you write a letter, are you writing the letter or is the pen writing the letter? You are writing the letter and using the pen as an instrumental tool to write the letter. Same thing with the Bible. God wrote the Bible and he used men as instrumental tools to write what he wanted.
